Lenten Season — Go The Distance

I hope many any of you remember the movie Field of Dreams where God appears to Kevin Costner telling him “If you build it he will come” and “Go the Distance.”

We now get satellite images of the earth, in fact we can get satellite images of our homes on Google.
From a distance the Earth and our world seems peaceful and all is well. It is only when we go the distance and get up close does the real image of our world become reality.
We can not serve our neighbors, when we keep them at a distance.
When we keep God at a distance, we limit God’s ability to influence or lives and guide us.
One of the biggest reasons for the Lenten season and discipline is to shorten the distance between us and God.
Begin today to shorten the Gap, go the distance, and then you will be directed by God.
