Our Weaknesses Gives Us Humility

Our Strengths Keep Us Going, Our Weaknesses Give Us Humility — Yoga Wisdom

My Yoga instructor and I worked out this wisdom this morning while she was trying to improve my flexibility, and yes my inflexibility keeps me humble.
Lent is a good time to work on both our strengths and weaknesses.
During one’s meditation is a good time to ask yourself, “What are my strengths and what are my weaknesses?”
Once we identify our strengths we should ask, “How can I put them to service for others?”
We identify our weaknesses not only to try to lesson their impact on us and our neighbors, but also to keep us humble and human.
Consider the fact that a poor free throw shooter practices his free throws, and an inflexible old man takes a yoga class to become more flexible.
Lent is a time to focus on where our spirit is weak, and seek help from the Holy Spirit to improve our game.
