The Fragilness Of the Moment

We experience time after time how fragile and precious every moment is.

Life may teach us this truth when we are young, when we are old, or any time in between.
To be aware of this fragility in Eastern culture is to be mindful. In western culture the word is more often called being aware.
Whatever its name the importance of this life’s lesson is what we do with it.
Do we ignore the lesson and live our life without regard to its fragility, or do we genuinelly cherish every moment.
For three days it has been raining in Charlotte so hard even the ducks have taken shelter. This morning the sun is out and the sky is as blue as a beautiful woman’s eyes. (in my case those eyes are Suzy’s).
What I do with this fragile moment is mine to choose, but at least I begin the day aware of its magnificence.
In your morning’s meditation, ask yourself what is this moment like and what is precious and fragile you need to cherish.
You’d be amazed with the journey that has just been opened up to you. Now its time to get going.
