Where Does Got Fit Into Your Plans?

No, I am not some fundamentalist who is confronting you with the question, “Where does God fit into your plans for the future?” In fact, I think this is a very private question, and the answers, if any, need not be shared with another soul. But, I have found myself asking this question. My asking began with my surgery. Just before I went under I said a little prayer, but I also found myself asking just exactly who is this guy you talk to in times of anxiety and crisis but ignore most other times?

How does God fit into my plans? Is he just supposed to hang around waiting on my health emergencies or times of crisis? If he is something more? How do I incorporate God into my plans for the future? My questioning has led to some interesting answers, and I suspect for each one of us the answers are very different.

Like I said I think the question and the answers are between God and me, but I will give you one hint. I wouldn’t want to be somebody who is just supposed to hang out waiting for an emergency, but otherwise have no relationship unless there is a crisis.

Whether you ask the question or not is up to you, but I can assure you if you do engage in such a conversation you will receive some interesting and thought-provoking answers.
