What No Eye Has Seen

I’ve started a new adventure this weekend. Readers will remember when I spent several months exploring Suzy’s grandmother’s bible which was full of nuggets and clippings. So it’s time to explore again. This time it is her Uncle Wayne’s Bible. Wayne was a brilliant chemist but endured for decades crippling arthritis. I never heard him complain, not once. So I am looking forward to discovering what nuggets of gold he highlighted for himself and future generations.

His clippings begin with facts about the Bible. (For example did you know that the first verse of the 7th chapter of Ezra contains all the letters of the alphabet?).

He also wrote that he thought the most beautiful chapter in the Bible was the 26th Chapter of Acts. I wish I had the opportunity to ask why he thought that.

I’l end today with a verse he more than underlined: 1 Corinthians 2:9, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him.”
