A Really Busy Person

We can see the Spirit made visible when people are kind to one another, especially when its a really busy person, like you, taking care of a needy, annoying, neurotic person, like you. — Anne Lamott

I love Anne Lamott and the above is one of my favorites. I don’t know about you but this year’s advent season seems too busy, too short, and more commercial than ever, but truth be told advent is still the same twenty-five days along it is my own priorities that have made it so busy, commercial, and short.

Now I have only one week to turn my own priorities to the true spirit of the season — being kind to one another, taking care of those in need, and embracing the true spirit of Christmas. Please join me.

  1. Well said, my friend. In these dramatic and unsettling times (to say the least), it is very difficult to keep kindness alive in one’s heart. Anyone facing those family Christmas dinners should take your words to heart. All my best.
