He Has Dealt Bountifully With Me

I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me. — Psalm 13:6.

I celebrated another birthday last Saturday, and people would ask how do I feel. The above Psalm is my answer, although I am confident that God would prefer I not sing. God blessed me with many gifts, but a beautiful voice is not one of them.

God’s design for me was not what I planned, and every time I adjusted my plan to meet with a new set of circumstances, he/she would send me reminders that I was not in charge. Only recently have I learned to accept the bounty and use the gifts I was given, not try to be someone I am not.

God has a funny way of nudging one to the place where he or she belongs.
