Wednesday in the Fifth Week of Lent

Do not remember the former things ,or consider the things of old. – Isaiah 43

Find yourself dwelling on the past? I certainly do. Too often it is the “would of…should have” type of world we dwell in. Instead, the prophet Isaiah admonishes us to live in the here and now and focus on the gifts of God.

We all have things in our life we want to do over. If we let them they will eat away at us until they become all consuming. Lent is a good time to truly let the past be forgotten and focus on the wonderful and new things God is about to do. In celebrating God’s future gifts to us, we “declare God’s praise.”
