Site Changes

To loyal readers of “The Hubbell Pew”

I suspect you have noticed a few changes in the site. First, I am trying to be more regular in my postings. There are two reasons for this. One, I enjoy writing these posts and imagining writing letters to my friend Tom. I get a lot out of what I write, and if you do as well, then I am even more fortunate. Second, because of my transplant, I have more time to think, meditate, and write. Again this is one of the many benefits I received as a result of my encounter with our human frailty. The second change is I hope subtle, and that is on the site is a visible link to click on and to donate to the upkeep of the site, if someone is inclined. I have avoided cluttering the site with advertisements, and hope to do so far into the future, but this is my one concession to the reality of the costs associated with posting a blog. Even for this I sincerely apologize.

As Lent approaches and I prepare for 40 days of writing meditations, I plan on experimenting with several themes and literary devices like the “Letters to Tom” series. I would appreciate your thoughts and comments. Speaking of that, please send comments. If you do not wish them published just note it. I have the ability to keep from having posted any comment, and even edit them if necessary. I would never publish or edit a comment without your permission. All that said, please feel free to encourage your friends and groups to visit the site. Also send suggestions if you have any to improve the site.

Finally, many of you know that I write on a second site as well – www.webbhubbell.com. This is my commercial site, where yes I do allow advertisements. Right now Google provides the ads, but someday somebody may want to advertise directly on the site, where I will have more control. This site is meant to promote my consulting business, as well as to afford me a forum to comment on the news of the day and legal trends. It is hoped that the site will expand to cover sports, taxes, guidance to non-profits, and other issues. I will have guest writers who will be offering their opinions and helpful tips. Again, please visit the site, tell your friends about it, and most importantly provide feedback.

Thank you so much for sitting for a moment in the Hubbell Pew.
