Thursday in the Fourth Week of Lent

Often we speed through the passing days with little enjoyment, looking through an opaque window to some distant time for the fulfillment of desire. The best conditions for our future happiness lie in the largest appreciation of the present. We all know this, yet we spend our lives in following happiness as a phantom, and blinding ourselves to the present good.
