Pain from Injury

Every football coach I ever had said at one time or the other, “You don’t know the difference between pain and injury.” Often I wasn’t sure what he meant, and I’m sure he didn’t as well.

What I have learned over time is that pain indicates a need for adjustment. Whether it be physical pain, mental pain, or spiritual pain. Pain is one of those experiences that comes to us that brings with it a lesson to be learned and so is valuable and friendly. Wisdom welcomes all experience, even pain, as necessary education. The discomfort of it is a minor matter. No problem, no pain, comes into any life which is not for that life to solve.
