A Friend

Been at your wit’s end? Not known what to do? Had a problem that it made you so sick, angry, full of despair? Ever felt no one would understand?  Felt that you had no one to turn to?

Of course you have! Welcome to the human race.

What to do when those times occur? Ask yourself what if your best friend called expressing those feelings. Most of us would get in our car, hop on a plane, or walk straight over. What often happens when you arrive?. You find your friend okay – having forgotten what upset him/her. What may be said or remain unsaid is that just because you had dropped everything to come to the aid of your friend was enough – you cared.

The question we should ask ourselves is when we feel the weight of the world crashing about us do you do nothing or do you come running to help yourself. If you would jump on a plane to be with a friend, why wouldn’t you drop everything and help yourself. Whether it is to call or visit a friend, act on your own problem, or simply go somewhere else and wrap yourself in God’s comfort.

We all have someone who cares for us, as we care deeply for others. Go now.
