Present Day

After writing yesterday about the fact that Peace will come, I thought I’d better balance my thoughts with a view of the present. We too often, especially during Advent, hasten through our days with but scanty pleasure or enjoyment. We look hazily to some distant time for fulfillment. The best conditions for future happiness lie in the largest possible appreciation for the present. Although we may know this is true, we often spend our lives in following happiness as a phantom and blinding ourselves to present good. There are wells of water in the dreariest desert, yet many travelers have perished chasing mirage.

Merry Christmas to all. See you after Christmas day.
