Family Bond

Thanks to all for the Happy Birthday wishes. I had a wonderful time in New Orleans. We were joined by Walter and the 14 year old philosophers, along with Rebecca and her family, and Kelley. It was wonderful to watch the cousins immediately bond. I grew up with an extended family of cousins, and we remain close to this day. Family bond cannot be underestimated, and it is one of those things that we all need to spend more time nurturing and enjoying.

Now it is time for me to get back up on the horse after my extended vacation.

They go from strength to strength. Psalms 84:7

I hold in high esteem and marvel at those few who seem to bounce from one good deed or project to the next. They seem to never tire, and their commitment and intensity only becomes stronger with each new calling.

One with a true heart is never long without a new calling. It is as if they have a dream, wake, and start a fresh march of service. They don’t wait to accumulate honor or accolades for their prior service and their reward seems to be no rest. I would do well to follow their lead by doing good and seeing better, whose worship is action, and whose action is ceaseless aspiration to do more.
