Monday in the Third Week of Lent

I cannot feel

That all is well, when darkening clouds conceal

The shining sun;

But then, I know

He lives and loves; and say, since it is so,

Thy will be done. – S.G. Browning

During Lent we still have those moments where we fail to understand why at times evil, pain, injustice, and suffering occurs. When this happens the difficulty of our task is to realize that our duty lies in that very moment and as long as hope remains. We need not worry whether this is part of some grand plan or not, we are called with a loving and trusting heart , to believe that with God all things are possible and to strain and resist evil and injustice with all the substance of our being.
