Devout Life

Perplexed, but not in despair; cast down, but not destroyed. – 2 Cor. 4:8,9.

Do not be discouraged as you try and fail, try and fail, to lead a devout life. By its very nature you are destined to be overwhelmed by difficulties and lose heart. Expect to doubt your ability to persevere, for at the moment you relax and let up on yourself you will find the answer. Don’t be discouraged with yourself, but know that when you follow a brighter light it does tend to illuminate our faults. Faults and flaws that are always forgiven by God.
