Age

Grandma Danny who lived to one hundred and three wrote the following:  “Age is a quality of mind, if you left your dreams behind, if hope is cold … then you are old.” If that is true, Danny was never old.

There is wisdom that comes with age, and I like most, wish I had appreciated that wisdom when I was younger  — spending more time with Danny and my own father — spending time learning their history and stories.
If I had the opportunity to ask Danny how she stayed so young, I suspect she would say another thing she wrote in her Bible. — “Thank God every morning when you get up that you have something that day that must be done. Being forced to work and forced to do your best will breed … a hundred virtues which the idle will never know.”
Have a great weekend and if you have the opportunity seek out wisdom.
