Yesterday we began standard time. For a brief period of time it will be lighter in the morning and darker earlier. All this reminded me that one of the inserts into Danny’s Bible included this passage from the book of John:
Now this is the message that we have heard from his Son and announce to you: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him. — 1 John 1:5
God is not only light, but when he is with a person his light shines through that person as well. Some people we meet are dark and scary, but when God is part of a person’s day there is no way that person comes off as dark or frightening.
As you begin this week with a little more light in your morning share some of this light with a friend, a relative, or even a stranger. As Danny writes, “Shine today so that someone else’s life is a little brighter for it.”
