God Prepares For Us

Grandma Danny writes that the following is her favorite Bible Verse:

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9

Don’t I wish I could ask her why she chooses these words. St. Paul goes on to say in verses that Spirit of God reveals all things, but that is not the verse chosen by Danny so I can only speculate.
The choice of a favorite verse is made by a woman born in a mud hut in Nebraska, fought off American Indians in the late 19th century and lived over a hundred years. I think the Danny didn’t need to see, hear, or feel in her heart the gifts of God, she lived them and had the faith that all God wanted from her was love freely given, which she did.
Danny lived a simple but bountiful life. Perhaps by choosing this verse she was saying Love God and have faith in his bounty. What do you think?
