My Razorbacks often start a game focused and concentrating on the job at hand, but as the opening excitement wears off, a penalty occurs, a busted assignment blows up a play, or a ball is dropped. Soon the game becomes a slugfest and coaches and players have to work very hard for every yard and inch.

Each of our days starts that way. We wake up to a great cup of coffee, we enjoy the quiet, and are focused and aware of our surroundings and feelings.
Then the day’s activities take over and we become distracted.
In January it is a good time to put in place a few practices that help us focus our attention on our surrounding, the joy of living, and our many blessings.
Ask what can you do to make the daily grind secondary, and awareness and mindfulness first?
