Wednesday In the Third Week Of Lent

I think we are all discouraged on occasion. Whether it be over breaking Lent, or a situation at work, or a situation at home, we all have expectations and sometimes those expectations aren’t met.
Discouragement is not a disease but a symptom. It is a warning signal of unrealistic expectations, self-pity, or fatigue. The cure for this symptom is Hope.
Hope is the key that unlocks discouragement, and sharing hope brings us back into balance. Every time we encourage we receive courage. Every time we offer hope to some one else, we remember the power within ourselves. That power is always greater than any fear we may have.
Becoming discouraged doesn’t mean we are traveling the wrong path, it only means we’ve run across a pothole.
