Thursday In the Third Week of Lent

“Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.” — Paul Boese
When we think about the service portion of our Lenten discipline I can’t think of a better thing we can do for our fellow humans than to forgive, beginning with ourselves.
True forgiveness begins with ourselves and extends out of our heart from there. Consider the possibility that there is a former friend or family member that needs only one thing to “enlarge their future” — your forgiveness.
The greatest service you may ever provide is to extend forgiveness to someone who doesn’t even know that is what they are missing.
