Maybe, just maybe I can have my fill of oatmeal raisin cookies, but I don’t think I’ve ever reached that point.
Who hasn’t watched with amazement little children tear through package after package at Christmas, and then when they are all opened they want to know, “Is that it?” I know a few adults who act the same way.
 
Haven’t you asked when you read Forbes’ list of the wealthiest people, “How much wealth does one need to accumulate in lifetime.”
 
As we meditate and pray this weekend, consider whether you are asking God for the wrong things in your life. Consider asking God to give you the wisdom to know the difference between desire and need.
 
Of course, one more cookie never hurts.
 
 
Correction: Suzy’s Mom used to say, “If wishes were fishes, we’d all be kings.” I have received several variations on the old nursery rhyme please keep them coming. W.
