One couldn’t help but notice that yesterday tens of thousands of children spoke by walking out of their classrooms. We may all have different interpretations about yesterday’s events, but whatever your political persuasion this action has meaning and gives a voice to the millions of boys and girls around the world who experience abuse and violence.
Children suffer from hunger, neglect, drugs, wars, abuse, sexual exploitation, and random acts of violence. Yesterday was a cry from our children who ask to be heard. Their lives are fragile and their future is uncertain. They will make their voices heard, and they will make the hearts of the unjust tremble.
Excellent–I faintly remember being young, enthusiastic about life and thinking we would make the world a better place. Now I am old white man and in many eyes thought to be the source of many of our problems.
I reject that idea and will continue the effort to make the world better.
There has never been a time in history when so many had to do so little to really make a difference!!!
