Sit Still And God Will Come To You

I felt in need of a great pilgrimage so I sat still for three days and God came to me. — Kabir.

One doesn’t consider a great pilgrimage occurring in one’s own home, but Kabir makes his point — God is always present, always present in our lives. Now over the years I’ve been in some pretty ratty places, and some places I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy, but I’ve never been alone

Now given the option I’d still prefer the beach than an isolation cell, but God will come to you in either place. It is not necessary to travel to Mecca to experience God. As Kabir says, “sit still and he will come to you.”
