“Aliveness comes from living a life of personal integrity in which our outer actions match our inner values, beliefs, wishes, and dreams… — Jerry Colonna, Reboot.

I’ve read lots of meditations and essays that deal with the same theme as above, but Colonna’s words say it very well. If I were to wake up repeating his words as a goal, I think I would go a long way toward fulfilling God’s plan for me, but like a lot of great thoughts  — they are easier said and repeated than lived. I am human, and failure is as much a part of life as success.

I think of it as shooting free throws. At first we miss a lot, but as we keep trying every day we get a little bit better day after day until our outer actions match to a great extent our values, beliefs, and dreams.

So today and with God’s help maybe I will take a step closer to “Aliveness.”
