Holy Week

Next week is Holy Week. It is hard to believe that the Lenten season is almost over. We all wish we could say the season of the virus is over. Given the stay in place we are all challenged to honor God this coming week in new and unique ways. What are you going to do?

I now know a few people who actually have the virus, so my prayers for them and all the world needs to intensify. I need to find a way to contribute to the poor and the homeless who are the most vulnerable right now. I must honor all those who continue to serve this community while my sacrifice is limited to “staying in place.”

But besides the obvious, I must find ways to make this upcoming holy week memorable. So I ask the Pew readers to write in what they are going to do this Holy Week to make it memorable. Let me hear from you!

PS: I thought about filling Suzy’s Easter basket with Purell, disinfectant wipes, and new hand soaps, but then again where would I find such items?

  1. Although it is not something new for me during Holy Week, I make a point to read “The Last Week”.

  2. After doing my daily practices and prayers, I plan to go for a hike to a nearby forest and note all the signs of spring, things to be thankful for… be safe, Webb!
