Rest In Hope

My heart, therefore, is glad, and my spirit rejoices; my body also shall rest in hope. — Psalm 16:9.

When I am under a lot of stress I have trouble sleeping. My mind goes over and over my concerns, and I toss and turn unable to get comfortable. The psalmist reminds us that when we are in a right relationship with the Almighty our spirit is uplifted and our anxieties are always overcome by hope.

We forget during this virus that hope is on its way in the form of a vaccine. When our days are darkest a ray of light always enters the room in the form of hope. The psalmist reminds us to seek God’s counsel and then listen to our heart night after night. (Psalm 16:7).

Hope is always present, and in hope we can always rest.
