Inner Quiet

I have to be alone very often… That’s how I refuel. — Audrey Hepburn.

One thinks of movie stars and celebrities needing the adoration and crowds. Ms. Hepburn opens our eyes to at least one celebrity.

We love our friends, enjoy gatherings and big events such as sporting events and concerts, but each of us needs a few moments alone. I have always advised couples who are about to be married to recognize their spouse will need some time alone. (Not that any of them listened to me.) We can suffocate a friend, spouse, or child. We all need time to experience inner quiet.

Silent prayer and/or meditation are good ways to be alone and recharge. I bet you know of many others, but recognize you need it and so does every one around you.
