Pour Out Your Soul

I pour out my soul when I think on these things…. — Psalm 42:4.

Have you ever suggested that someone, “Let it all out, get it off your chest.” I hope you have, and more importantly I hope you have. May I  make a suggestion? Find a quiet place where it’s just you and God, and “pour out your soul.” The him/her what’s bothering you, what’s unfair, what’s eating at your gut, and don’t hold back. As the psalmist suggests “pour out your soul.”

Then when you are totally empty, take a deep breath and listen. Once you are empty God will respond and bring you peace.
