Light of All People

What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people. — John 1:3.

In this passage we sometimes overlook the words “all people.” Too many consider Christ and his message as exclusive, and that he belongs to a select few of believers. John throws that thought out on its ear.

No matter one’s faith or one’s beliefs or lack thereof, the life of Christ is a beacon that leads us out of the darkness to God.

Christ’s life was one of truth, love, forgiveness, sacrifice and care. May those attributes always be the light that guides each and every one off us.
