Love Overcomes All

Out of the blue, I came across a You Tube video of Joan Baez at a Memorial service for Ram Dass. She spoke about the last time she saw him before he died. She asked if he was in a lot of pain and he said, “Yes.” Then she asked, “What do you do about it?” And he said, “I love it.”

Can love overcome pain? If anything can, then love certainly can. Whether it be hatred, racism, anger, depravity, etc., love can overcome them all. The hard part is reacting with love to the worst of human nature, but if we can, love will overcome.
