Presence

And remember,  I am with you always. — Matthew 28:20b.

One of the best things we can do when someone is grieving or suffering is be present. Words, gifts, etc. are helpful, but it is your presence that brings the most comfort. In  the above passage we are reminded that no matter what, God is with you. H/she will never abandon. There is no greater comfort.
