Teach

Schools start this week in Charlotte. Around the country, schools have just begun or will soon. For most, that  means we entrust our children to others for a good portion of their waking hours for the next nine months. Teachers, administrators, health and social welfare professionals, bus drivers, coaches, and facilities professionals all care, nurture, and teach society’s most important assets and future. We should never underestimate their importance.

Jesus was often referred to as “teacher.” It was a label that he never disclaimed. To all who listened then and now, he taught the lessons of life. Today is not just  important for my children and grandchildren. It is time for we adults to  return to our teacher. It’s never too late to return to the school of life.
