God Knows

I am  the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me. — John  10:14.

Lord, you have searched me out and known me. — Psalm 139: 1a.

Two passages, same theme. God knows us, probably better than we know ourselves. We go through life searching for who we are. We meditate, we explore various ways of self-discovery, and we spend small fortunes on self-analysis, group think, EST, retreats, and testing sos we know who we really are. Not that I think analysis, therapy, or organized self-examination can’t be helpful, because for many it is. But perhaps we are searching everywhere except where our answers are easily found.

Our passages today provide our answer. God knows us better than any therapist or guru. Maybe, it’s time to have a heart-to-heart with God.

God Knows.
