Familiar Routine

As my birthday approaches, I remind myself to be open to the new, the unexplored, and the untried. Each year it gets easier and easier to settle into a familiar routine, but I know that to do so is a downward spiral. I’m pretty sure that the best way to overcome aging and becoming set in one’s way is to explore and try something that’s new on one’s radar screen. I am not sure what this year’s adventure will be, but I know I will have the opportunity, and will try to set my mind to being open. God sent Christ to the world to open our eyes to a different way of thinking and believing. To be open to the new is part of our destiny’s way.
