Three Lives

Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for the other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there will be no loneliness, for each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two persons, but there are three lives before you: his life, her life and your life together. Go now to your dwelling place to enter into your days together. And may all your days be good and long upon the Earth. — Apache Wedding Prayer.

Very few words but they say it all. God understood how loneliness can eat away at a person so he created Eve to be Adam’s companion, so they would have three lives. One  of the greatest acts of friendship is to make sure those you love, care for, or just know are not lonely.
