Human Capital

I spent the weekend with an old and dear friend. We talked about boyhood days, but also talked about the present and the future. We both share a common belief that it is  imperative that we dedicate more of our limited resources to human capital — to healthcare, education, childcare, and providing basic staples such as food and housing to all.

Today’s Verses, Acts 2:44-45, remind us that the earliest Christians believed in sharing possessions and togetherness in belief. Wiser men and women constantly remind us that where we allocate our resources is where our priorities lie.

Beginning at home, we are called to allocate our resources to what we have in common with our neighbor.
