Sabbath Day

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

It is easy to keep this day Holy at Pawleys Island. We are surounded by the wonders of God’s creation. The ocean roars, the marsh is filled with fish and beautiful fowl, including bald eagles. The sunsets and sunrises are glorious.

Living on the island almost mandates that you don’t work and simply enjoy your surroundings. I should ask AI why different religions claim the Sabbath falls on different days, but that’s okay at Pawleys. One soon loses track of the days.

Lent is the season of getting closer to God. It seems a little easier to do at Pawleys. God is everywhere you look or listen.
