Future With Hope

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. — Jeremiah 29:11.

“For surely I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord in Jeremiah 29:11, “plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” These words feel particularly poignant as I witness the weight of depression and lost hope among so many friends, concerned for their own paths and the future of our nation. Yet, when they ask the vulnerable question, “Is there any hope?” my answer rings out with certainty, “Absolutely.”

The journey of maturity etches both joy and sorrow onto our hearts, granting us a broader perspective. My own life has been punctuated by moments of profound prayer, grappling with God’s designs and the search for a faint glimmer of hope on the horizon. And though those times felt endless, they have invariably transformed into mere shadows before the breaking of a new day.

Whether the whisper of hope regarding God’s plans and the future arrives through ancient scripture, the solace of a good friend, or the deep wellspring of your own spirit, the message remains constant: the future is never barren of hope. Your future as well our nation’s is rich with promise.
