One’s Destination

One of the wonderful things about travel is that it opens your eyes to a world beyond your own surroundings. Can we really understand people until we have seen and been to their home? Can we really appreciate the majesty of a mountain range until we have stood at its base? Can we understand the serenity and calm of a beach until we have dipped our toes in its magic.

God wants us to love our neighbors, but to do that we must first understand them — to see with their eyes, to walk in their shoes. Miller’s wisdom tells us to look beyond the place and toward “a new way of seeing.”

This summer ask yourself, “What is my destination?”
