A small act is worth a million thoughts. — Ai Weiwei.
I have always dreamed, had big plans and great ideas, but none are worth a grain of salt until I act. The hardest decision, it seems, is that first step. This morning I considered why?
To take that first step, to perform that small act, requires that we overcome all the reasons why our ideas, plans, and dreams won’t work. I have always admired those who could dive right in to a problem without fear of failure, for most of us this type of risk-taking is too difficult.
I used to have a basketball coach who would say, “You can’t score if you don’t shoot.” His philosophy applies to life. Next time you dream, act on it. The world will be a better place.
I often advise, “If you don’t shoot, you don’t score.” Maybe that’s where I got it! I also stand by William James he advised Faith and Action together. Bless.
