Are they not all ministering spirits? – Hebrews 1:14
As Easter approaches and we are called to serve after strengthening our hearts, mind, and spirit with Lent, it is time to give thought to our future service. Consider the premise that it is not always the most active people to whom we owe the most. Among the saints are people who are constantly busy, meteor-like, ever on the rush to some visible change or work. And then there are the saints whose lives are like the stars – which simply pour down on us the calm light of their being – to whom we look for calm and courage.
You may not have the opportunity are physical capacity for active service. Maybe you can do nothing for your fellow man, but you can always be something for them. No man or woman can be strong, humble, gentle and pure without the world being better for it – without somebody being helped by your very presence.
