There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. — Romans 8:1.
I read this morning, “Saint Paul often writes about a life lived under the law versus a life under grace.” Those words and today’s verse struck a nerve. If we live long enough, one will have regrets, engage in self flagellation, and have doubts about our own worthiness. Paul’s words and Christ’s life bring us comfort. Whether our condemnation is administered by the law or one’s self, God stands ready to extend his grace. His love is unconditional.
If there is no “condemnation” for us, then we should remove condemnation from our own hearts. As God extends his grace to all, we should do likewise.
