If you judge people, you have no time to love them. — Mother Teresa
It seems that we are all so busy talking about and judging other people all the remaining energy and time in our day is sucked out. And by simply making that statement I am judging others. Shame on me!
Judging the judgers is part of the problem.
Today is a Monday, and unlike the people of south Texas I woke up to a blue sky and temperatures in the 60’s. Today is the first day of public school in Charlotte so it seemed everyone was out walking their dogs, waiting on school buses, or sitting on their front porches enjoying a cup of coffee. I think we realized how very fortunate each and every one of us was this morning and wanted enjoy the weather that we wished we could send to Texas.
I’m going to ignore the talking heads on TV or social media today, and focus on the acts of heroism and kindness that is occurring all over southwest Texas. That involves a little judgment on my part, but I will keep enough time in my day to love.
If we begin our day focusing on something or someone to love, over time we won’t have time in our day to judge.
I did the same thing, watching good neighbors taking care of each other. It was a blessing.
