First Direct Yourself Before You Direct Others

A man should first direct himself in the way he should go. Only then should he instruct others. — Buddha

Wise words, but I have a little caution if people believe that individuals who once lost their way have nothing to teach us. I’m a firm believer in the thought that we learn most from our mistakes and mishaps, more than our conscious successes.

Humans are loving and forgiving creatures, but we often allow our leaders to create rules and laws that are unforgiving and cruel. Once they get on the books , they never go away.

Forgiveness begins in the individual heart, but there are times when we need put our voice in action as well.
