The Wonders And The Realities Of the Universe

The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for the destruction of our race. — Rachel Carson.

Some mornings I wake up and marvel at the beauty of the morning sun pouring through the window. I walk outside and everything smells fresh and clean. These experiences set my soul on fire and for the rest of the day I focus my attention on my surroundings. No matter what happens its been a good day.

I sometimes think God gave us the wonders of our world to keep us humble and to make sure we don’t forget his majesty. I think it is difficult to not believe in an all knowing God when we pay attention to the wonders and realities of the universe. Which leads me to ask why do we think we have a right to abuse or destroy it?
