Monday in the Fourth Week of Lent

Editor’s Note: Good News I have a new computer. Bad News I have to learn to use it.

My first human act is the recognition of how much I owe everyone else. — Merton

Although we talk about the Lenten season being about sacrifice and our relationship with God, we need to be aware that we tend to forget about others while we focus on ourselves. If we are not careful we fail to seek God in the love and kindness of others. I often forget that the person who needs my help is giving me a gift as well. They give me the opportunity to be a better person. Is that not a great gift.

During Lent we need to thank God for the people who need us the most. They provide us a window to God’s true character and our own true call.
