Letter to Tom — Sabbatical is over.

Dear Tom,

My sabbatical is over and its back to writing at www.thehubbellpew.com. After, I wrote you I have been to DC for my two year transplant physical and Fayetteville, Ar. for a football reunion. Two events that are not automatically synonymous with quiet reflection. However, neither is the fact that after I wrote you, I went outside to take out the trash. There behind the large cans I noticed a large cropping of honeysuckle vines in full bloom. I took it as a sign that on this journey I needed to look for inspiration in unlikely places.( My EFM classmates know my affinity to honeysuckle.)

My best source remains reading from the best books of 2011 to mysteries. To start our next set of correspondence I pass on the following.

Michael Ondaatja – “There is a story, always ahead of you. Barely existing. Only gradually do you attach yourself to it and feed it. You discover the carapace that will contain and test your character. You find in this way the path of your life.”

Your friend, Webb
