Truth

Luke: Obi-Wan? Why didn’t you tell me? You told me Vader betrayed and murdered my father.
Obi-Wan: Your father was seduced by the dark side of the Force. He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader. When that happened, the good man who was your father was destroyed. So what I told you was true, from a certain point of view.
Luke: “A certain point of view”?
Obi-Wan: Luke, you will find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.
— Return of the Jedi

This is one of my favorite movie quotes. I don’t know about you, but I can certainly say that there were times when I was going through them that I thought what was happening was going to destroy me and I could not survive. There were times when I looked to the heaven and shouted – why? Only, later did I realize that I had not only survived, but the experience had enriched me, made me a better person, and I had emerged unharmed.

Everything that God asks of us is a perfect response, and every life is being educated with that end in mind. Nothing can limit the good that comes to us except our own lack of recognition.
